This course serves as an introduction to the role of the Healthcare Assistant in Preoperative Assessment but also serves as update for more experienced staff. This course could also be useful for the role of a band 4 Assistant Practitioner. The course covers public health, medicines management, observations, neck and airway assessment, awareness of STOPBANG, Preoperative investigations & ECG recording and checklist.

11 hours of CPD- 7 hours participatory and 4 hours online continuous personal development plus clinical practice hours in developing competencies.
