Training for Care Homes

Our training courses provide an introduction for Registered Nurses, HCAs, Assistant Practitioners and Associate Nurses to the Care Home setting. The courses also serves as an update for more experienced staff. You will need a minimum of 10 attendees to book this option. 


These courses help staff to reduce GP call-outs, reduce calls to ambulance services and help nurses provide more services in-house and improve the quality care of residents whilst maintaining their safety.

All courses include competencies which comply to the recommendations from the Francis report 2013 & can be used for NMC Nurse Revalidation.

Courses Include:

  • Venepuncture.
  • Urinary Catheterisation – male & female.
  • Basic Clinical Assessment.
  • NEWS Scoring.
  • Syringe Driver (T34 McKinley).
  • Verification of Expected Death.
  • Healthcare Assistant training
